The Brand Edit is a two-week, independent review of your whole brand.
We look at why customers aren’t responding as strongly as you expected and what needs changing before you spend more money fixing the wrong thing
THE BRAND EDIT
hello
Customers ask why it costs so much or leave your products sitting in their basket. You know what went into it and why it costs more. You’re less sure your website and packaging are making that clear, and you don’t want to keep relying on discounts to make the sale.
Your website could use work, but so could your packaging and marketing. You can’t do everything at once, and you’ve already spent money on a fix that changed very little. This time, you want to know where the budget will make the biggest difference.
Customers who try the product understand why it’s good. A retailer, collaborator, or investor only has your pitch, packaging and website to go on. When they pass, you rarely find out what made them hesitate—or what would have helped them say yes.
People are visiting your website, and the customers who do buy often come back. But most visitors still leave without ordering. You’ve tried changing the photos or rewriting product pages, and doing it again would feel like another guess.
We bring that same attention to your brand.
Over two weeks, we go through the different parts of your brand in detail, paying attention to what each one is communicating and how they come together. We compare the story you’re telling about your brand with what people say about your category and how your closest competitors present similar products.
At the end, we tell you what needs attention first. You’ll know whether one focused change is enough or your brand needs more work, and what we’d leave alone.
The Brand Edit is not a rebrand. We don’t redesign any part of your brand or create new assets as part of the service. We review what already exists, show you what’s working and tell you what we’d change first.
The Brand Edit is for founders whose physical product brand is live and selling directly to customers. Once you’ve made a few sales, there’s enough for us to look at the decisions you’ve already made and how people have responded so far.
Brand story · Positioning · Personality · Visual identity
Your identity shapes the assumptions people make about your products before they buy. We look at your story, personality and visual identity across your packaging, website and content, then compare the impression they create with what you want the brand to be known for. This tells us where the identity needs work and where using what you already have more consistently may be enough.
WHAT'S INSIDE
Customer reviews · Online conversations · Close competitors
We read your customer reviews and unprompted conversations about the category to see how people talk about your brand and products like yours in their own words. We compare their words with your own, then look at the language two or three close competitors use for similar products. That tells us whether the reputation people are forming matches what you want your brand to be known for.
How products fit together · Gaps and overlap · How customers choose
We look at your range through the choices a customer has to make. Can she tell what each product is for and which one best fits what she needs? We also check whether products overlap or customer feedback points to something the range doesn’t cover. That tells us whether the range itself needs attention before you spend more on stock or develop something new.
Stockists and sales channels · Promotions and discounting
We review how your products are sold, from your own website and social platforms like TikTok Shop to any retailers or marketplaces. We assess the promotions customers see, the brands you sit alongside and, where a retailer is involved, who shops there and what that retailer is known for. This shows us how your promotional behaviour aligns with the customers you want.
First impression · Product information · Shopping experience
We assess whether your website reflects the positioning you want for your brand, from the way you describe and present your products to the standard of the site itself and its photography or video. We review what it’s like to shop there and whether customers can see why your products are worth their price. We also look for ways the site could bring in more revenue from your existing range.
Messaging · Content · Recent campaigns
We assess how your brand communicates across social. We look at the world your channels create around your products, check whether your tone and core message stay consistent across everything you publish, and use customer reviews and category conversations to compare the benefits you emphasise with what people say they want, including benefits your content barely mentions.

A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER
I built my career in beauty and now work with all kinds of brands built for women because I’d be curious about them even if it weren’t my job. After leading strategy for dozens of launches around the world, I’m a little obsessed with why one earns a place in someone’s routine while another is tried once and forgotten.
I wrote strategies, briefed teams and reviewed what they made.
Once a campaign went live, I used the results to decide what we could improve quickly without spending much and what needed testing and investment.
In-house and agency work involved specialists across time zones. We had tons of expertise, but silos too: one team could have information another needed and nobody would realise until later. Even brilliant brand managers sometimes had to water down ideas to get approval from someone far from the customer–and only get it once it was too late to use them.
With a founder-led brands, I love speaking directly to the person making the decisions, asking you what you were trying to do and what you want your brand to become before I recommend a change. I won’t push an idea just because it sounds smart on paper. If it might increase your conversion rate but make the brand feel less like yours, I won’t consider it a success.
Bring me your half-baked ideas! We’ll figure out what’s worth keeping and fix what isn’t, without turning it into something you don’t even like anymore.
